We will be visiting Kronborg Castle, one of the few places in the world surrounded by as much drama and history. Famous as the setting for Shakespeare’s play Hamlet, it holds a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Located in Helsingør, Denmark, Kronborg is a castle and stronghold that was once the residence of kings and queens. As a fortified castle with bastions and cannon batteries controlling the water at the narrowest point between Sweden and Denmark, the castle’s history is truly fascinating. Explore Frederik II’s sumptuous ballroom, marvel at the magnificent tapestries, and greet the mythical figure of Holger the Dane in the castle’s basement.
